NISH logoEstablished in 1974, the National Institute for the Severely Handicapped (NISH) is one of two national, non-profit agencies designated by the Committee for Purchase from People Who are Blind or Severely Disabled (a federal agency) to support non-profit agencies in participating in the AbilityOne program, which provides employment opportunities for people who are blind or have other sever disabilities by procuring federal contracts for goods and services.
